Curiosity Corner is our nurturing nursery provision for children aged 2 years 8 months to 4 years.

Led by a team of passionate and curious professionals, Curiosity Corner is a place where children are encouraged to explore, question, and discover. We provide wonder-filled opportunities that inspire imagination, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is enriched by a STEM-based approach, using questioning and provocation to spark curiosity and critical thinking. Through open-ended experiences, we support every child to develop their creativity, confidence, and resilience in a warm, supportive environment.

At Curiosity Corner Nursery, based within Norton Hill Primary School, we provide a happy, caring environment where little learners can grow, explore and thrive.

We warmly welcome children from 2 years and 8 months, supporting them every step of the way as they begin their learning journey.

A Nurturing Start for Your Child

Our nursery is a place full of curiosity, creativity and fun. Each day is thoughtfully planned to help children build confidence, make friends and develop a love of learning through play.

🕘 Open Monday to Friday (term time only)
8:45am – 3:15pm

We also offer convenient wraparound care, giving families extra flexibility when needed (booked separately).

Flexible Funding to Support Families

We understand that childcare needs to work for you. That’s why we offer a range of funding options:

✔️ 15 hours funding for eligible 2-year-olds
✔️ Universal 15 hours funding for all 3-year-olds
✔️ Up to 30 hours funding for working families

Affordable Additional Hours

If you need extra sessions beyond funded hours:

• 2-year-olds: £7.50 per hour
• 3-year-olds: £6.10 per hour

We also accept Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers to make things easier.

Fees 

Fees will only be charged for any additional hours above your child’s funding. Norton Hill Primary will be closed on Bank Holidays/ Inset days and will not charge you on these days. If we are closed due to weather or any other reason out of our control charges will still apply. We are unable to rearrange sessions for funded hours that fall on bank holidays or closure days or refund any government funding received. Funded hours will be used at the beginning of the week with unfunded hrs at the end examples below:

• If you are attending full time (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm) and entitled to 30hrs funding, this funding will be used Monday to Thursday: all day, and Friday 8.45 - 12.45pm; you will be invoiced for the session on a Friday afternoon from 12.45pm.
• If you are attending full time (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm) and entitled to 15hrs funding, this funding will be used Monday and Tuesday: all day and Wednesday 8.45am -10.45am; you will be invoiced for the sessions from Wednesday at 10.45am - 3.15pm, Thursday and Friday - All Day.
