Welcome to Norton Hill Primary School!

In reception, the children at Norton Hill Primary School are excited and motivated to learn through rich and challenging learning experiences. Through our high expectations, our children are well-rounded individuals who are independent, resilient, and confident in themselves and with others. Our learning environment is designed around the interests of the children in the class and staff encourage critical and creative thinking where children can be active learners. We ensure that children deepen their understanding by playing, talking, observing, planning, questioning, experimenting, testing, repeating, reflecting and responding to adults and to each other.

The staff at Norton Hill Primary School recognise that all children are curious about the world around them and how things work. We aim to foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, and collaboration to prepare them for a world where skills in science, technology, engineering and maths are increasingly important. We provide a wealth of opportunities for pupils to engage in practical investigation making links between science, maths, technology and developing engineering skills.

Why Norton Hill Primary School?

Children at Norton Hill Primary are happy at school and feel a part of the Norton Hill family. Adults and Children enjoy learning and celebrating our achievements. Parental feedback is important to us as parents/carers and pupils are at the heart of our school. The school goes from strength to strength and every day has exciting activities to engage in.

Current Parent/Carer Comments

We are extremely fortunate to have brilliant support and engagement from our parents and carers. We strongly value the link between home and school and believe that an effective and communicative partnership between teachers and parents establishes an environment where children have a sense of security and familiarity. Our current parent/carer comments can be viewed here.
